Production Volunteer: NYFW

As the Vice President of Production for University Fashion Group on the University of Texas’ campus, one of my roles is to plan and contact designers for our organizations biannual trip to volunteer at New York Fashion Week.

University Fashion Group (UFG) is a student run organization at the University of Texas at Austin. Its mission is to promote principles from the arts, sciences, and humanities through the world of apparel design, retail merchandising, textile sciences, and textile conservation.

We were lucky enough this February (AW20) and last September (SS20) to volunteer with production companies- Eyesight Group, Bureau Betak, and Sara Byworth, as well as work independently with Claudia Li, Christopher John Rogers, AREA, Chromat, and Lela Rose.

As volunteers we were responsible for: filling gift bags, checking in staff, dressing, seating guests, stage setup, etc.
